Unlawful Detention, Kidnapping, and Relocation of Persons

Text of Articles 126 and 127 CC RF
Article 126. Kidnapping
1. Kidnapping — punishable by restriction of liberty, forced labor, or imprisonment up to 5 years.
2. The same act committed: a) by a group of persons in prior agreement; b) with use of violence; c) against a minor — imprisonment 5–12 years.
3. Committed by an organized group or causing serious consequences — imprisonment 6–15 years (up to 20 years in aggravating circumstances).Article 127. Unlawful Deprivation of Liberty
1. Unlawful deprivation of liberty without kidnapping — restriction of liberty or imprisonment up to 5 years.
2. Group act against two or more persons — imprisonment 3–8 years.
3. Act causing serious consequences — imprisonment 4–10 years (up to 20 years in aggravating circumstances).
