Intentional Dissemination of Disinformation
Government bodies and media may have systematically spread false information about military operations to influence public opinion and interfere with the lawful activities of government bodies. These actions fall under Art. 284 CC RF.

“Interference in any form in the activities of a state authority of the Russian Federation or a local government body, aimed at influencing decision-making or obstructing the exercise of powers, if committed by a person using their official position, — punishable by a fine or imprisonment for up to three years.”
